asis (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is committed to protecting children from child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards describe our policies, enforcement practices, and how users can report safety concerns.
1. Our commitment
Oasis is a social app for discovering inspiration and organizing plans. We do not tolerate any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children.
We prohibit users from creating, uploading, sharing, soliciting, or distributing CSAE or CSAM on Oasis. Accounts that violate these standards may be suspended or permanently removed, and we may report confirmed violations to law enforcement and relevant authorities.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Oasis:
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM): Any visual depiction, including photos, videos, or computer-generated imagery, involving a minor in sexually explicit conduct.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE): Any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child, including but not limited to:
Grooming a child for sexual exploitation
Sextortion of a child
Trafficking of a child for sex
Sexualizing or exploiting minors in any form
Soliciting, sharing, or distributing CSAM
Using Oasis to contact minors for sexual purposes
Sexual content involving minors: Nudity, sexual activity, or sexually suggestive depictions involving anyone under 18.
Endangerment of children: Content that encourages, facilitates, or depicts harm to minors.
We also prohibit harassment, bullying, violence, hate speech, and other harmful conduct that may put children at risk, as described in our reporting categories.
3. How to report safety concerns in Oasis
Oasis provides in-app mechanisms for users to report concerns without leaving the app.
Report a post
On any post, open the post options menu and select Report post. Choose a reason (for example, Nudity or sexual content, Harassment or bullying, or Other) and optionally add details. Reports are submitted to our team for review.
Contact support
Go to Profile → Settings → Contact support to open an email to byteoasis@gmail.com from within the app. Use this for safety concerns that are not tied to a specific post, or to report urgent child-safety issues.
You may also email byteoasis@gmail.com directly from any device. Include as much detail as possible (links, usernames, post descriptions, and screenshots if available).
4. How we respond to reports and CSAM
When we receive a report or otherwise obtain actual knowledge of CSAE or CSAM:
1. Review: We review reported content and accounts promptly.
2. Remove: We remove CSAM and other content that violates these standards.
3. Enforce: We suspend or permanently ban accounts involved in CSAE or CSAM.
4. Preserve evidence: Where required by law, we preserve relevant information for investigation.
5. Report to authorities: We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via [CyberTipline](https://report.cybertip.org/) or to the appropriate regional authority, as required by applicable law.
6. Cooperate with law enforcement: We cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory requests related to child safety.
We act in accordance with these published standards and applicable child-safety laws.
5. Supervised accounts and younger users
Oasis is not directed primarily at children under 13 and is rated for users 13 and older.
- Users who indicate they are not an adult may require guardian pairing before full access is granted.
- Guardians approve supervised accounts through an in-app QR pairing flow.
- If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without appropriate consent, contact us at byteoasis@gmail.com.
6. Legal compliance
Oasis complies with applicable child-safety laws and regulations. This includes:
- Prohibiting CSAE and CSAM as described above
- Removing CSAM upon obtaining actual knowledge of it
- Maintaining a process to report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the relevant regional authority
- Cooperating with valid legal requests from authorities
Developers and operators of Oasis seek guidance from legal advisors on regulatory compliance for CSAM and child-safety matters.
7. Child safety point of contact
Google Play and other partners may contact our designated child safety representative regarding CSAE content found on Oasis.
Point of contact: Oasis Child Safety Team
