Oasis (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) helps you discover inspiration and organize it into plans. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.
By using Oasis, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1.0 Information we collect
1.1 Account and profile information
When you create an account, we collect:
Email address
Password (stored securely on our servers; not stored in plain text on your device)
First and last name (at least one name is required to complete your profile)
Profile details such as date of birth and gender
1.2 Device information
To secure your account and sessions, we collect a hashed device fingerprint derived from device and app metadata (for example, platform, app version, and device identifiers where available). This fingerprint is sent to our authentication service when you log in or refresh your session, and may be sent with certain content actions for compliance.
1.3 Location information
If you use location features (such as “near me”, map picker, or location-based search), we collect:
Precise location (GPS coordinates) when you grant permission
Place names, addresses, and related location data you select or attach to posts
Location is optional and only collected when you use these features.
1.4 Photos, videos, and user content
If you create posts, bookmarks, plans, or channels, we collect the content you submit, including:
Photos and videos (from camera or gallery)
Captions, tags, categories, and titles
Plans, sections, bookmarks, and related organization data
Imported link metadata when you share URLs from supported apps (for example, Instagram or TikTok)
1.5 Diagnostic and support information
The app may write local debug logs for troubleshooting. If you choose **Send to support**, we receive:
A log file you submit
Optional description you provide
App version and platform information
Log collection can be disabled in app settings where available.
1.6 Information we do not collect
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. We do not collect contacts, calendar data, financial information, or web browsing history through Oasis.
2.0 How we use information
We use your information to:
Create and manage your account
Authenticate you and keep your session secure
Provide app functionality (feed, search, plans, bookmarks, maps, media upload)
Store and display your posts and plans
Process location searches and attach places to content
Import content from links you share into the app
Respond to support requests you send us
Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse
3.0 How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate Oasis in Byte Oasis cloud services, and we do not sell or share your personal information to third parties.
4.0 Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
When you request deletion (see Section 6.0), we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal retention requirements.
5.0 Children and supervised accounts
Oasis is not directed primarily at children under 13. If a user indicates they are not an adult, the app may require guardian pairing before full access is granted. Guardians approve supervised accounts through an in-app QR pairing flow.

6.0 Your choices and rights
You can:
Update profile information in the app
Choose whether to grant location, camera, microphone, and media permissions (features that need them will not work without permission)
Request account or data deletion by emailing byteoasis@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account
We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time.
7.0 Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for communication with our servers and secure storage for authentication tokens on your device.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and keep your device secure.
8.0 International transfers
Your information may be processed on servers operated by our service providers in regions where they operate (for example, cloud hosting regions). By using Oasis, you consent to this processing.
9.0 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at the same URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Oasis after changes means you accept the updated policy.
